J & P Motorcycles

The J & P Motorcycles story begins in Griffith in 1975, when John & Peter (J & P) Dalla opened a small shop in the local railway yard and began selling Norton, Triumph and BMW motorcycles.

The following year, the duo relocated to a larger shop on Yambil Street that had previously housed their grandfather’s Ford Tractor company. In 1976 (the era of the Z900), John also took on the Kawasaki franchise, but he was not on the main drag.

So, in 1978, he built a new shop on Banna Avenue and acquired the Suzuki franchise. Then came a lateral move into distributing John Deere lawn mowers with Kawasaki engines. Increased sales allowed for the development of an adjoining shop in 1988, but all the stairs got to him… 4 levels!

So, to bigger and better. In the year 2001, the company relocated to the other end of town into a brand new specialised showroom/workshop with enough space to display bikes and accessories for customers to browse in comfort. KTM was a welcome addition to the stable in 2004, reinforcing J & P’s commitment to the off-road market.

Today, J & P Motorcycles is still serving the Riverina with passion and product knowledge.
